Meet our Board

Meredith Wick
President
Hi, I’m President for the Marshall High PTSA because I want to help all of the kids here have the best experience possible. I love our community, I strongly believe in public education, and I know our kids, teachers and staff need help from all of us in order to raise the funds for sports, arts, classrooms and extracurriculars. We need the PTSA as the one stop shop for EVERYONE to come together!

Jasmine Starr
Parliamentarian
Hi, I helped start the Marshall High PTSA to provide a way for myself and other parents to be more involved in supporting Marshall. We are lucky to have such a great school in our community, but its continued success depends on all of us pitching in. Being part of PTSA is a great way to stay connected to our kids at a critical time in their lives. It is also a fun way to connect with other families and the amazing teachers and staff at Marshall. I hope you’ll join us today!

Dianne Chadwick
Historian
Originally from San Diego, I feel fortunate to have spent the last 32 years in Silver Lake. I have a junior on the cross country and track teams (where I also serve as a volunteer assistant coach) and a seventh grader who plans to follow his brother to Marshall. I’m a strong supporter of public education and aspire to do all I can to further enrich the Marshall experience and engage the local community.

Sue Nadell Gintel
Executive Vice President
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I moved out to LA after college to be part of the entertainment industry. I’m now a full-time mom to a current Marshall Freshman and enthusiastic volleyball player. As Vice President of the PTSA, I look forward to interacting with local businesses to help raise funds for our school while promoting a strong sense of community. It is my goal and my passion to support the students, teachers and staff at Marshall so that everyone can enjoy the most rewarding and enriching school year possible.

Aleli Cervantes
TREASURER
Aleli is mom to two Marshall High School students and has been actively involved with the neighborhood schools’ parent-teacher-student organizations for a number of years. Growing up in Los Feliz, she holds these schools near to her heart and enjoys contributing her time to help improve the educational resources, student activities and school experience for all of the community’s children.

Sarah Clark
FINANCIAL REVIEWER & FUNDRAISING CHAIRMAN
My son is a senior at Marshall High and I am eager to connect with other parents and build community around our beautiful school. I am eager to bring my years of experience in PR & events to all of the fundraising ideas we are creating. Keep an eye out for exciting events and fun ways to support our students!

Tim Boland
VP Communications
I’m thrilled to be volunteering with the JMHS PTSA! As a neighborhood resident for 25 years and a proud parent of a JMHS Junior. I’m excited to help strengthen our school community. I’ll be assisting with communications, promoting events and fundraisers, driving membership, and finding ways to make our wonderful community even more connected.

Sarah Briuer Boland
SECRETARY
Hi everyone! I’m a fiercely proud Angeleno and delighted mom of a c/o 2027 Barrister. I am also an anti-racism organizer, educator and facilitator, committed to honoring the inherent worth and dignity of all people. As Los Angeles network contact for Integrated Schools, I’ve learned that public education is how we achieve equity and bright futures for our own children, for all children and for democracy. That’s why it is my honor to serve the Marshall community as PTSA Secretary this year.

Juan Puentes

Kimberly Harada

The dedicated Marshall PTSA has worked hard to make the campus a welcoming environment for everyone. This is my first year as a member and I look forward to collaborating with parents, students, staff and community members to continue its mission to advocate for student education, activities, experience, and success. Come check out the wonderful projects happening at Marshall and connect with the amazing people who are making a difference in our community.

Anne Edgar
Chair, Membership Committee
Nice to meet you! Before my son came to Marshall (he’s a junior this year) I volunteered for several years for Marshall’s excellent program, College Path LA, and got to meet many graduating seniors. I have loved watching the Marshall community come together to help our kids grow academically and as human beings, and have found it fascinating and sometimes challenging to keep track of the many, many opportunities for Marshall students, teachers, families and staff. There’s so much going on!
This year I will be working hard to welcome new members to our PTSA and bring us all together. Every Marshall student, family member, teacher and staff member has a story to tell, tips to share and important observations to make about our school. I can’t wait to hear yours!

I am thrilled to serve as the chair of the Athletics Subcommittee of the new PTSA. With a soccer-playing daughter at Marshall, I am particularly excited to explore ways to enhance the school’s athletic facilities to the benefit of all students.
