Meet our Board

Heather Blitstein

PRESIDENT

Heather Blitstein was thrilled to be nominated as the inaugural President of the Marshall High PTSA and looks forward to working with our administrators, teachers, and the community for the betterment of our school. Heather is a 25 year resident of both the Los Feliz and Silver Lake communities, and has been an active parent of her children’s education from the beginning.  She will leverage her experience and resources as a producer and entertainment executive to bring new opportunities and expand our school’s reach.  Heather is the proud parent of Noah Blitstein, a sophomore on the JV baseball team.

Lawrence Faljean

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

A hairstylist and singer, I’m the father of Luke, a current junior and baseball player.  As the new Executive VP of Marshall High PTSA, I got involved when I found out there was no PTSA at school. Myself and others knew that the school, students, faculty and staff needed help to improve the facilities, academic scholarships and athletic fields. We are still growing and hope we can help.

Dianne Chadwick

VICE PRESIDENT – COMMUNICATIONS

Originally from San Diego, I feel fortunate to have spent the last 31 years in Silver Lake. I have a sophomore on the cross country and track teams and a sixth grader who plans to follow his brother to Marshall. I’m a strong supporter of public education and treasured volunteering for events at my kids’ elementary school. With my experience as a graphic designer for film & TV, I hope I can help get this organization rolling.

Meredith Wick

SECRETARY

Hi, I’m the Secretary for the Marshall High PTSA because I want to help all of the kids here have the best experience possible.  I love our community, I strongly believe in public education, and I know our kids, teachers and staff need help from all of us in order to raise the funds for sports, arts, classrooms and extracurriculars. We need the PTSA as the one stop shop for EVERYONE to come together!

Jasmine Starr

TREASURER

Aleli Cervantes

FINANCIAL REVIEWER

Aleli is mom to two Marshall High School students and has been actively involved with the neighborhood schools’ parent-teacher-student organizations for a number of years. Growing up in Los Feliz, she holds these schools near to her heart and enjoys contributing her time to help improve the educational resources, student activities and school experience for all of the community’s children.

Oliver Clark

HISTORIAN

I’m really excited to help construct this organization. I’ve seen the toll that COVID has had on our student programs. I feel that with the PTSA, we have a chance to bring back what we lost and make it even better.
